INTRODUCTION TO MICROSOFT WORD WINDOWS 97 FOR BEGINNERS
Word is a dynamic word processing application for writing letters, memos, reports, printing labels and envelopes, or creating tests. In this introduction course, participants will learn the basic principles on how to use MS Word with a tour of the Windows Screen, the Toolbars, and Office Assistant. Wizards will be demonstrated to show the ease of writing letters or creating reports. Participants will be creating letters and documents including creating a basic test using the various font, page and paragraph formats. Skills will be taught in saving, opening, closing, and revising the documents. Learn how to change page margins and paper size and format paragraph alignment and line spacing. Users will learn the power of MS Words spell and grammar check and Thesaurus. For the class, participants will need to have ideas on a letter to write such as a correspondence needed to a parent and a test to create.

INTRODUCTION TO MICROSOFT EXCEL WINDOWS 97 FOR BEGINNERS
Excel is a powerful spread sheet application that teachers can use for managing data in graphs or charts for grade books, attendance, budgets, and much more. This will introduce participants to design and organizing worksheets while learning basic Excel formulas. Learn to format a worksheet including AutoFormat, alignments, column/row sizes, borders, numbering and date formats. Create basic formulas (addition, subtraction, multiplication and exponents) and basic functions (sum, average, maximums, minimums). Gain skill in editing tasks such as copy, move, delete, insert or replace anything on a worksheet. Open and save a workbook which is a combination of selected pages of worksheets. Learn to use text or numeric values and move around the screen. Participants are asked to bring to class data such as test scores from a series of classes and tests for creating grade spreadsheets and plot data during the class.

INTRODUCTION TO MICROSOFT POWERPOINT WINDOWS 97 FOR BEGINNERS
PowerPoint is a superb computer program, which allows you (or your students) to easily make effective presentations in your classroom or to an audience of parents on open house night. This course is designed for people with little to no experience in using PowerPoint, but want to learn how to quickly get a basic presentation started using a wizard. Included is an overview of Windows and the planning and creation of a computer slide presentation that can be used for review prior to a test. This course will cover text presentations, use of templates, editing slides, using different views to preview your slide show, drawing tools, word art, and color schemes. The slide show created will be complete with personal "speaker notes" and handouts. Participants are asked to bring to class a sample of a review lesson used prior to a test.

INTERMEDIATE MICROSOFT WORD 97
In this hands-on workshop, participants will revise and enhance existing MS Word documents. Learn how to manage documents through various views, work with multiple documents and sharing information between them. Gain skills in enhancing paragraphs and the document layout by adjusting tabs, indents, borders and shading, and adding bullets, page numbers, headers and footers. To add to a basic test, participants will learn how to add drop boxes, check boxes and creating small tables. Participants will be introduced to graphics by inserting images, clip art and WordArt. To complete the letters, participants will be creating envelopes and labels for mailings. Participants are asked to bring a diskette containing previously written MS Word documents and at least one test.

INTERMEDIATE MICROSOFT EXCEL FOR WINDOWS 97
In this hands-on workshop, participants will take an existing spreadsheet and learn how to freeze and split panes within a spreadsheet, customize views, and use the form function for ease of data entry. Learn how to sort, filter and autofill data. Incorporate charts and graphs into worksheets and learn to modify by resizing, changing chart type, labels, titles, and legends. Instruction will include the use of on-line help, Clip Art, and hyperlinks. Participants will learn how to customize and optimize their use of the Office Shortcut Bar, Office Assistant, and Tool bars. Participants are asked to bring a diskette containing a workbook with at least one spreadsheet of data preferably a grade spreadsheet for enhancement during the class.

INTERMEDIATE MICROSOFT POWERPOINT FOR WINDOWS 97
This course will be for participants who want to enhance the features of their current presentations. Take your presentations into the animated world through linking multimedia movies, sound effects, and the use of different animation templates and techniques such as information sliding in from the left or right, animation timing, and using multiple animations. PowerPoint does not lock you into one background layout or one template style, learn how to change your template and use different backgrounds within the same presentation. Participants are asked to bring to class a diskette containing a previously created slide presentation.

ADVANCED MICROSOFT WORD FOR WINDOWS 97
This course is for participants who desire to hone their document enhancement skills. Users will learn the advantage of mail merge from external documents, ease of templates and how to change templates, and advanced document functions such as automatic formatting, styles and the Style Gallery. Basic macro creation of recording, editing, saving and running macros will be taught. With the interest in Web interaction, Web features such as adding hyperlinks to documents will be covered. For reports, learn how to use cross-references, bookmarks, footnotes, tables of contents, indexes and outlines. Advanced table development entailing table formats, headings and autoformat will be taught. Participants are asked to bring a diskette containing a previously written document(s) or report(s) they desire to enhance.

ADVANCED MICROSOFT EXCEL FOR WINDOWS 97
This course is for intermediate skilled Excel users to advance their spreadsheets to the next level. The use of wizards to link databases to spreadsheets; using multiple spreadsheets within the same workbook; and obtaining data from external sources such as the Web will be taught. Participants will be creating name ranges for ease of calculations and printing, and adding macros and buttons to their spreadsheets for enhanced functionality. Sharing of data between Word and Excel will be taught. Participants are asked to bring a diskette containing at least two workbooks each containing at least one spreadsheet for use during the class.

ADVANCED MIRCROSOFT POWERPOINT FOR WINDOWS 97
This course is for the advanced PowerPoint user who wants to learn how to create a presentation without using any of the wizards. Instruction will also detail how to go on the participants local network or the World Wide Web to find information to bring into the presentation; have music and sound effects automatically play; and link to other documents or applications within the PowerPoint presentation. There may also be times where a PowerPoint presentation needs to be run on a computer that does not have the PowerPoint software. Learn how to make a run time of your presentation to use on a system that does not have PowerPoint software. Participants are asked to bring to class a diskette containing a previously created slide presentation.
